National Level Technical  Symposium: GYANMITRA ’17:

GYAN MITRA’17 is a National Level Techno Management Symposium organised by Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (Autonomous) on February 17 and 18, 2017. It is a colloquium of 8 technical domains including IE(I) Students’ Chapter (Mechanical Engineering), Bio-Tech, Civil, Computer science, ECE, EEE, , MCA and Student’s profession societies. The symposium comprised of 19 workshops, 14 paper presentations and 64 technical events.    In Mechanical Domain , IE(I) Students Chapter (Mechanical Engineering) organised the following workshops and Events and 106 students are participated in various events in Mechanical domain.

GYAN MITRA’16 is a National Level Techno Management Symposium organised by Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (Autonomous) on February 19 and 20, 2016. It is a colloquium of 8 technical domains including IE(I) Students’ Chapter (Mechanical Engineering),Bio-Tech, Civil, Computer science, ECE, EEE, , MCA and Student’s profession societies. The symposium comprised of 16 workshops, 14 paper presentations and 64 technical events. The inaugural function commenced at 9.30 AM on 19-02-2016 in Mepco Convention Centre (MCC).              Shri.S.Ingersol, Scientist-G, Group director, Systems Reliability Group, ISRO propulsion complex, Indian Space Research Organisation, Mahendragiri was the chief guest. Principal Dr.S.Arivazhagan presided over the function. The faculty advisors, student convenors, HODs of various department, faculties, students and participants attended the function

National Level Technical  Symposium: GYANMITRA ’15:

GYANMITRA’15 is a National Level Techno Management Symposium organised by Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (Autonomous) on February 20 and 21, 2015. It is a colloquium of 8 technical domains including IE(I) Students’ Chapter (Mechanical Engineering), Bio-Tech, Civil, Computer science, ECE, EEE, , MCA and Student’s profession societies. The symposium comprised of 16 workshops, 14 paper presentations and 64 technical events. The inaugural function commenced at 10 AM on 20-02-2015 in Mepco Convention Centre (MCC). Dr.V.Ponraj, Scientist-G from Aeronautical Development Agency of DRDO working with Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam as an advisor on Science & Technology and Public Policy was the chief guest. Correspondent Thiru A.Tenzing preside the dais with the principal Dr.S.Arivazhagan. The faculty advisors, student convenors, HODs of various department, faculties, students and participants attended the function. The Convenor of Gyan Mitra’15 are Mr.S.Selva Nidhyantham, Asst. Prof./ECE. & Mr.N.Vasiraja, Faculty Advisor of IE(I) Student’s Chapter (Mechanical).

The Valedictory function was held on February 21, 2015 evening. Mr.V.Viswanathan, Head Engineering Hiring of WIPRO Technologies, Chennai graced the ceremony and distribute the Prizes to the winner.

Cryptix'14

 Cryptix '14 -  National Level Technical  Symposium:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised a National Conference on ‘Advances in Mechanical Engineering’ - NACAME’14 and a National Technical Symposium – Cryptix’14 on 21.2.14. The college Principal Dr.S.Arivazhagan presided. Dr.P.Nagaraj, Prof. & HoD/Mech welcomed the gathering. Mr.Aravindha Rajah, Director of M/s Varsa Consultants, Trichy gave the inaugural address. The valedictory address was delivered by Mr.Melwin Thomas, Quality Assurance Lead of M/s CML Media Soft Pvt. Ltd, Chennai.

Dr.S.P.Asok, Prof./Mech and the Organising Secretary informed that 67 conference papers from Faculty members and Research scholars along with 23 symposium papers from students were presented. Events like water rocketry/glider making, modeling/analysis, component machining and assembly were also conducted. Mr.N.Vasiraja, AP/Mech and the Convener proposed the vote of thanks.

Cryptix'12

Cryptix '12- National Level Technical  Symposium:

On behalf of Institution of Engineers (India) student’s chapter of Mechanical Engineering Department, a national level technical Symposium CRYPTIX 2012 was organized at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi on 17th February 2012.

            Shri.D.Ramesh SO/G, Senior Commissioning Engineer, Koodankulum Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), Koodankulum, graced the occasion with his august presence as the Chief Guest. He enlightened the gathered young minds by sharing his inspirational experience during the Nuclear Power Plant commissioning. He explained about the need of noteworthy qualities, to be acquired by the students in order to face the future challenges in engineering profession. Dr.S.Balakrishnan, Principal of Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, presided over the function. Dr.P.Nagaraj, Head of Mechanical Engineering honoured the chief guest by presenting him a memento.

            The function started with paper presentation and the students from various prestigious institutions presented their innovative papers. This was followed by an entertaining technical quiz, design contest and project presentation. Enthusiastic participants displayed their talents and innovative skills. The Chief Guest Shri.D.Ramesh SO/G, Senior Commissioning Engineer, Koodankulum Nuclear Power Project, presided over the valedictory function and gave away the prizes to the outstanding participants.
