A Two Days National Level Techno Management Symposium GYAN MITRA’17is organized by Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi on February 17 and 18, 2017. As part of Gyanmitra17, 19Workshops were conducted on recent technologies for students. 14 Paper Presentations and 59Technical Events are conducted in second day. About 1400 young energetic and emerging engineers from nearly 140 colleges participated in this technical festival. Shri. R. Sudharsan, Director, Cloud and Platform Security Team, iNautix Technologies, Chennaidelivered the Valedictory address.

GYAN MITRA’16 is a National Level Techno Management Symposium organized by our College. It is a colloquium of 8 technical domains including Bio-Tech, Civil, Computer science, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, MCA and student’s professional societies. The symposium comprises of 16 workshops, 14 paper presentations and 64 technical events. About 1000 young energetic and emerging engineers from nearly 65 colleges participated in this technical festival. The function was inaugurated by Shri. S. Ingersol, Scientist G, Group Director, LPSC, ISRO, Mahendragiri.

GYAN MITRA’15 is a National Level Techno Management Symposium organised by Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (Autonomous) on February 20 and 21, 2015. It is a colloquium of 8 technical domains including Bio-Tech, Civil, Computer science, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, MCA and student’s profession societies. The symposium comprised of 16 workshops, 14 paper presentations and 64 technical events.

HIGHLIGHTS

Dr.V.Ponraj, Scientist-G from Aeronautical Development Agency of DRDO working with Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam as an advisor on Science & Technology and Public Policy was the chief guest.He insisted that creativity, innovation and culture of excellence are the key factors of globally competitive skilled Engineers.

 

Visargah 13, a National Level Technical Symposium was conducted in Department of Information Technology, jointly by Institution of Engineers (India) I.T, and Computer Society of India(CSI), at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi on on Monday, 30th September 2013. The events like Paper Presentation, Quiz, J2EE workshop, Cipher Hunt, Optimum Procurator, Debugging and Multimedia Presentation was conducted and the prizes and certificates were distributed by the Chief Guest.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Chief Guest Mr. R.Shankar Prasad, Manager, Royal Bank of Scotland, Chennai addressed the gathering. During the course of his speech, he emphasized the importance of knowing current trends in IT industry.

A special magazine on Information Technology trends called “CACHE” was released by Chief Guest.

 

IE-IT in association with Computer Society of India on 15.09.2011 conducted a national Level Technical Students symposium Visargah 11. The events PAPYRUS(Paper Presentation- The topics include Data Mining Network Security, Nano Technology and Any IT Innovations) , ATIITYA (Software/ multimedia Presentation), YASHA (Software Trouble Shooting), SHRUTA (Technical Quiz) and PURNAAH ( An Managerial event ) have been conducted.


HIGHLIGHTS
The Chief Guest Mrs.Gayathri Ramanujam, Aricent, Chennai, gathering by stating that even impossible things are made possible through the current technology and that the students should not inhibit themselves.

A special magazine on Information Technology trends called “CACHE” was released by Chief Guest.

 

 

IE-IT in association with Computer Society of India on 16.09.2009 conducted a national Level Technical Students symposium Visargah 09. The events AURKENE (Paper Presentation- The topics include Bio-Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Wired and Wireless Networks, Grid Computing, Image Processing, Recent trends in IT) VYASA (Software/ multimedia Presentation), ERESHVA (Software Trouble Shooting), RASHA (Technical Quiz), WYATT ( on spot multimedia design) AFROZA ( An Managerial event ) have been conducted.


HIGHLIGHTS
The Chief Guest Mrs. N.Andal, Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance, Data Patterns India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai addressed the gathering on the importance of learning the Fundamentals well.

A special magazine on Information Technology trends called “CACHE” was released by Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest had an interactive session with final year students “about what company expects from freshers”.

The events AAKRUTHI (Paper Presentation- The topics include Data Mining Network Security, Nano Technology and Any IT Innovations) , ATIITYA (Software/ multimedia Presentation), YASHA (Software Trouble Shooting), SHRUTA (Technical Quiz) and PURNAAH ( An Managerial event ) have been conducted.

Thothathri, Associate Vice President & DC Head, Infosys, Mahindra City, Chennai was the chief guest of the Inaugural function of VISARGAH 07 who also gave the keynote address on “Grid Computing and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)” and give the interactive session with final year students about “about what company expects from freshers”.

Mr.D.Swaminathan, Senior Information Systems Manager, Sify Ltd., Chennai was the chief guest of the Inaugural function of VISARGAH who also gave the keynote address on “Network Security”

Mr.Sidhartha Sathpathy , Assistant Manager, HR, TCS , Chennai was the chief guest for the valedictory function who also gave a keynote address on “What Software Industry Expects an Software Engineer To Be”.

IE-IT and IE-CSE Associations in association with Computer Society of India on 30.09.2004 conducted a National level Students Technical Symposium Cognition v1.0.

            The Department of Information Technology and Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi jointly organized an “International Conference ON Computing Technologies” (ICONCT ’17) during March 16-17, 2017.Thiru A. Tenzing, Correspondent, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, presided over the inaugural function. Dr. S. Arivazhagan, Principal, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, welcomed the elite gathering. Dr. Lipo Wang, Professor, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, graced the inaugural function with his august presence as the Chief Guest. He also enlightened the young minds of research scholars with his inspirational speech on the latest trends in Computational Intelligence for Data Mining. More than 100 delegates from different institutions attended the conference and presented their technical papers.

The conference was patronized by Dr.S.Arivazhagan, Principal who gave the presidential address and under the guidance of Prof.T.Revathi, HOD, IT Dept. Mr.Rolland J.Enoch,CEO Rishon Communication Tech Pvt Ltd ITP Head, Accenture, Chennai was the chief guest for the inaugural function. The chief guest enlightened the students with the current trends of technology.

More than 80 delegates from R&D institutions, Academicians and Research scholars of various colleges –inter and intra states presented their ideas on pioneering new approaches in IT field .Delegates explored a wide range of aspects in the areas of –Networking, High performance computing, Image Processing, Data mining, Bio-Informatics, Mobile computing and Business Intelligence. The delegates were awarded with certificates of appreciation.

The function was inaugurated by Mr. Suresh Periasamy, CEO from Jeevan Technologies, Chennai, who released the proceedings of the conference MEPCOIT’07. He enlightened the gathering with technological improvements, adding fiction to life, making fantasies come true, entreprenership, channelising youngster’s ideas, changes needed in educational system and concluded with convergence of future generation. He also appreciated the Multimedia Presentation (3D MAX) and the project taken up by the Final year students.
