ICARUS'04

  • ICARUS-04 was a National Level Conference conducted in the year 2004
  • Organized by CSE Department and CSI Students branch
  • It included a Paper Presentation session which put forth 25 selected papers on cutting edge technologies like AI, WAP and so on.
  • It provided a high utility Panel Discussion with Experts from leading technological services across the country. A Technical Quiz was also conducted.
  • Mr. Sathya Narayanan, Head, Cognizant Academy acted as the Chief Guest for the function.
  • Number of students attended the conference: 600

ICONCT'09

  • ICONCT’09 is an International Conference on Computing Technologies organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering
  • A total of 101 papers were presented on various topics like High Performance Computing, Image Processing and Pattern recognition, Distributed and Grid Computing, Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing, Nano Computing, Pervasive Computing and Soft Computing

ICONCT'17

  • ICONCT’17 is an International Conference on Computing Technologies organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering & Department of Information Technology
  • More than 100 delegates from different institutions attended the conference and presented their technical papers.

  • The conference theme addressed ‘Computing Technologies’ and its various domains like Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, Distributed Computing, Grid Computing, Networking, Image and Pattern Recognition, Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet Security etc.
  • Keynote speeches were delivered by eminent persons from reputed institutions. 

 

MEPCOMP-97

  • MEPCOMP-97 was a State level Technical Symposium
  • It included events like paper presentation, software demo, Software contest and a quiz.

MEPCOMEX-99

  • MEPCOMEX-99 Exhibition featured working models from the various engineering departments of the college and from the creative psyche of talented students belonging to schools across the state.
  • The exhibition lived true to it's ideals of creating Engineering and Scientific awareness among the students.
  • Number of students visited the exhibition 3000

MEPCOMEX-02

  • MEPCOMEX-02 Exhibition contains display of computers software, peripherals and hardware.
  • It was conducted to create Engineering and Scientific awareness among school students
  • Number of students visited the exhibition 5000

REVONS-03

  • REVONS-03 was a National level Technical Symposium Organized by CSE Department
  • It included paper presentation, software demo, Software contest and a quiz.
  • The chief guest was Dr. R.Srinivasan, Principal Consultant, TCS, Chennai
  • 500 students from various colleges attended the symposium

MEPCONCT’12

  • MEPCONCT’12 was a National conference on computing technologies organized by computer science and engineering department.
  • The conference has attracted 130 technical papers for presentation. All the papers were peer reviewed by renowned experts in the field of computer engineering and 72 papers were finally recommended for oral presentation, out of which 24 authors have registered and presented  that includes delegate from Orissa.
  • The delegates had active interaction in the areas of Video Compression, High Performance Computing, Wireless Technologies, Internet and Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing, Information and Network Security and Data mining.

 

Cognition v1.0

  • Cognition v1.0 was a National Level Students Technical Symposium
  • Organized by IT and CSE Department and CSI Students branch
  • It included a Paper Presentation session which put forth 24 selected papers on cutting edge technologies like Nano Technology, Network Security, Data Mining and so on.
  • Other events were Technical Quiz and Surprise event.
  • Mr.N.Sivaram Training Manager, Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab, Madurai acted as the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function.
  • Dr.K.Ramar, Head, CSE Dept (U.G.), National Engineering College, Kovilpatti acted as the Chief Guest for the Valedictory function.
  • Number of students attended the conference: 600

Cognition’08

  • Cognition’08 was a National Level Students Technical Symposium Organized by CSE Department on 10/09/2008.
  • A total of 15 papers have been presented in the symposium on various topics like Image processing, Neural Networks, Data Mining, Wireless Networking and Mobile Computing.
  • In addition to the papers 6 solutions have been presented for the case analysis posted through our web site.  
  • Various competitions like Online Coding Contest, Quiz, I’m Legend, Scotland Yard, Virtuozo were also conducted.
  • Mr.P.HariNarayan, ProjectManager, Infosys acted as the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function and gave a key note address on "Independent Software Vendor" (ISV industry), which covered ISV overview, SaaS (Software As A Service) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
  • About 200 students from various colleges attended the symposium

Cognition’10

  • Cognition’10 was a National Level Students Technical Symposium Organized by CSE Department on 08/09/2010.
  • A total of 30 papers have been presented in the symposium on various topics like Image processing, Neural Networks, Data Mining, Wireless Networking and Mobile Computing.
  • In addition to the papers 6 solutions have been presented for the case analysis posted through our web site.
  • The Various competitions conducted during the symposium were: the project presentation ,Bringing out the Entrepreneurship skills ,Free Open Source Software Workshop , the Design Contest , the Cyber Thirst, General Quiz, I’m Legend and some Online Events.
  • Mr.Nandha Coumarane Nadarajan, ProjectManager,  Aricent Technologies ,Bangalore acted as the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function and gave a key note address on "Cloud Computing”.
  • About 300 students from various colleges attended the symposium

  • Cognition’12 was a National Level Students Technical Symposium Organized by CSE Department on 18/09/2012.
  • A total of 30 papers have been presented in the symposium on various topics like Image processing, Neural Networks, Data Mining, Wireless Networking and Mobile Computing.
  • Events like Paper Presentation, Adzap, Quiz, Treasure Hunt, Movie Making, Poster Design, Google-A-Day, Programming Contest were conducted
  • Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sundararajan, Assistant vice-president, Aricent Group, Chennai gave an enthralling speech on Learning, Innovation and sharing for the development of Technology
  • Workshop on Internal of Internet was conducted by Mr. S.Vinoth, Software Engineer, Aricent Group, Chennai.
  • Around 200 students from various colleges actively participated in the events.

GyanMitra'15

  • GyanMitra'15 was a National Level Techno Management Symposium Organized by CSE Department along with various Clubs in the College on 20/02/2015 & 21/02/2015
  • Events like Paper Presentation,Poster Presentation, Quiz, Treasure Hunt, Debugging were conducted by CSE Department
  • Workshop on Load Balancing in Web Based E-Commerce was organized on the first day of the symposium.
  • About 1800 students from various colleges participated in the Symposium

GyanMitra'16

  • GyanMitra'16 was a National Level Techno Management Symposium Organized by CSE Department along with various Clubs in the College on 19/02/2016 & 20/02/2016
  • Events like Paper Presentation,App Idea Presentation, Quiz, Best Ethical Hackers,Treasure Hunt and Debugging were conducted by CSE Department
  • Shri.S.Ingersol, Scientist-G, Group director, Systems Reliability Group, ISRO propulsion complex, Indian Space Research Organisation, Mahendragiri was the chief guest for the inaugural function.
  • Workshop on Development and Hosting of Web Server in the Cloud was organized on the first day of the symposium.
  • About 1000 students from various colleges participated in the Symposium

  • GyanMitra'17 was a National Level Techno Management Symposium Organized by CSE Department along with various Clubs in the College on 17/02/2017 & 18/02/2017
  • Events like Paper Presentation,App Idea Presentation, Web Designing,Code Jam,Quiz, Treasure Hunt, Technical Connections and Debugging were conducted by CSE Department
  • Workshop on Mobile Automation Using Selenium was organized on the first day of the symposium.
  • About 1400 students from various colleges participated in the Symposium
  • Shri. R. Sudharsan, Director, Cloud and Platform Security Team, iNautix Technologies, Chennai delivered the Valedictory address
